ROCKTANK Story
ROCKTANK story / Built from trail miles
We build the stuff we wanted on our own trucks.
ROCKTANK was started by ARAYA P. and co-founder ZIHAO WANG: two off-road people who spent real time towing trailers, sleeping in bad weather, breaking gear, fixing it, and learning what an overland rig really needs.
Why ROCKTANK exists
Not showroom camping. Real roads, real cold, real weight.
Before ROCKTANK became a product line, it was a pile of questions from our own trips. How do you keep heat in when the weather gets ugly? How do you pack water, power, tools, recovery gear, and food without turning the truck into a mess? How do you build something that can take highway miles, washboard roads, snow, mud, and long days far from a shop?
That is still the way we work. We look at the chassis, the payload, the trail plan, the family or crew using it, and the kind of miles the rig will actually see. Then we build the camper box, trailer, canopy, or custom parts around that use.
Show floors that taught us something
From SEMA in the United States to GT Show in China.
SEMA showed us what American truck people care about.
Fitment, payload, simple service access, clean storage, real mounting points, and gear that does not feel fragile. The US market is full of people who already know trucks. They do not need fancy words. They need a clean build that makes sense.
GT Show reminded us how fast the build scene is moving.
China gives us manufacturing depth, fast custom work, and teams that can handle complex camper bodies, canopies, flatbeds, metal work, interiors, and vehicle systems under one roof.
Our field miles
We learned a lot by towing, freezing, fixing, and going again.
The founders and team have spent years around off-road trucks, trailers, and camper systems, including multiple trips into Arctic Circle country. Those trips are where small details become big details: door seals, insulation, condensation, water layout, battery placement, spare access, recovery gear, and how easy something is to fix when you are tired and cold.
That is why ROCKTANK sells more than a pretty box. We build around the whole system: body, chassis, storage, heat, power, water, mounting, freight, and installation plan.
Tell us what you want to build. If it can be done, we will help find the cleanest way to build it.
What we build for the US market
In the United States, ROCKTANK does not sell complete vehicles. We build truck camper boxes, empty DIY shells, flatbed campers, off-road trailers, Australian-style canopy systems, bumpers, storage, and custom fabrication for real truck platforms.
That includes chassis and platforms like Unimog, International, F-Series, heavy-duty flatbeds, and other trucks where a serious camper body or work system makes sense.
Real customer route
Delaware truck. China factory. Real build work.
Plan the vehicle route, paperwork, insurance, customs documents, and build scope before the truck moves.
Send qualified US-registered vehicles to the right factory team when the project needs serious fabrication, camper work, canopy systems, or interior build time.
Coordinate the return, delivery, or installation plan with the customer. For qualified projects we can work with Drive2China for international vehicle transport support.
Every overseas build needs a real consultation first. Route, timing, documents, insurance, customs, installation, and return plan must be checked before money changes hands.
Bring us the truck, the trip, or the problem.
We can help with truck camper boxes, DIY shells, flatbed campers, trailers, canopy systems, custom parts, and overseas build planning. Most builds start with fitment, photos, measurements, payload, use case, and a clean quote.
